Some changes on the site

Hello dear reader, some time ago I separated Software 0810 from The Marnix 0810 Site, but now that that has worked out good I have made a couple of new major changes: The Marnix 0810 Site has been replaced by Stories 0810, including the web adresses (marnix0810.wordpress.com became stories0810.wordpress.com) Stories 0810 became more blogging-ish and […]

End Of Support For HackeyBlock

The Hackey PYE Project will not start, instead the original Windows version will just stop support, fading out. The plans are to fully stop supporting HackeyBlock around end 2020. This may happen earlier or later. I am sorry to say this, but the HackeyBlock project seems to be too hard to maintain. After the EOS (end of support) of HackeyBlock, other projects like FNew, Neveroffline and MuZikDL will have more time to be developed further. The HARR project will continue, but will only be updated to fix error reports.

FNew is being moved from Zeronet to the open internet

FNew, introduced about a week ago (in this post), is already leaving the peer-to-peer network Zeronet. It seems that the users of Zeronet do not like to use the FNew-post-writer (powered by google forms) and people from outside the Zeronet think a network like Zeronet is a little bit scary, understandable of course, I do […]

With future versions of Hackey, new lists will also become available!

Today, 26/6/19, I have published a page that enables people to contribute their modified blocking lists to Hackey, these list will get their own menu enabling to let users decide from the ‘optional-lists’, this does not mean that my lists are not optional, it’s just that the user contributed lists will only be an extension […]

(NL/EN) Maandelijkse berichten stoppen / Montly posts will stop

Update: Hackey’s Python-implementation is now compatible with x32 and x64!

in my previous post: https://stories0810.wordpress.com/2019/05/31/hackey-adblock-doesnt-need-python-to-be-installed-on-your-computer-anymore/ I stated that Hackey’s implementation was not yet fully compatible with 64 bit systems. I now wrote some code that should fix this, it selects one of the SFXs (either python64bit-sfx.7z.exe or python-sfx.7z.exe.) and with that Hackey does not need any installed-software besides itself anymore! This is something I struggled […]

Hackey AdBlock still depends too much on Internet Explorer

I disabled Internet Explorer on my computer (if you want to know how, [Control Center > Programs > Disable or enable programs], I don’t know, I just typed what I thought it was… but install Firefox before uninstalling IE!) and after that, links in Hackey don’t work no more, so you can’t click on the […]

Dead friends

Written by a friend of mine who wants to stay anonymously. People will never understand what is happening in this world. We never will. We know nothing. Think we can trust the bank, the government, etc. But they lie straight in our faces, just in front of us. Nobody knows. The news is full of […]

Hackey is identified as malware by Microsoft

If this occurs with the 7-zipped versions, choose the workaround below or unpack the 7-Zip file to a folder (for example downloads or desktop) and open the setup from there. If this does not work, report it to me. This problem seems to be solved since the installers became 7-zipped. it remains online for reference […]
